Andrea recently won the Best Director prize for her film Side Effect, a satirical thriller about mental health, at the Big Sur Film Festival. Side Effect has also taken home Best Actress, Best VFX, Best Horror and Best Thriller awards, and Andrea was nominated for Best Emerging Female Filmmaker by AFIN International Film Festival in Australia. She is currently directing development of We Found Love @The Dinah, a docu-series about the largest and longest-running event for women seeking women.
Andrea has been on the team for eleven scripted features and four documentary features in various positions, including as an executive producer on FUEL which won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at Sundance. She is currently pitching networks on a second unscripted show, a premium limited True Crime docuseries, The Long Arm of Darkness, about two of Andrea’s friends who were murdered in college.
Andrea showran five short series for Mobile Magic Studios, and EP’d a sixth for Atom TV which appeared on Verizon, Sprint, Shanghai Mobile and Comedy Central. Her feature script Best Death Ever has been acknowledged by Sundance Catalyst, FilmCom Nashville and Austin Film Fest. Her animated script Chewtopia was a Cameraderie finalist in 2019. Andrea started behind the scenes in network television, with two years on The Nanny, two years on Daddy Dearest, and one season on Rockstar INXS.
